Blueprint
Blueprint is a music video directed by Ryan White & Brian Redding that was filmed somewhere around spring of 2007 in Athens, Georgia. Ryan conceived of the idea based on a skit from The State (from back in the 90's) where a guy innocently throws a paper airplane out of a 2nd story window and it accidentally punctures a passerby in the eyeball.
The idea to do a stop-motion video was more or less out of the sake that the directors had no other way to make the paper airplane fly, but fortunately the effect turned out to better than expected. Interestingly, after a full day's worth of shooting and believing they had shot much more footage than needed, they quickly learned in the hectic editing stage that they were needing about another 2 minutes worth of footage! Thank God for the Ken Burns Effect...
Bring Down The Mannequins
Bring Down The Mannequins is another music video directed by Ryan White & Brian Redding that was filmed at the end of July of 2007 in Athens, Georgia. In fact, the room the video takes place in is Ryan's actual bedroom at the time, and the day of the shoot was the very last day he was living in the house before he moved out. Therefore, rearranging the room (and cluttering up the neighboring rooms) was convenient since he had to remove all of his stuff that evening anyway.
The room had to be stripped and reset several times to get several takes for editing, which meant that everybody had to remember exactly what items they were stealing and exactly how the items were placed before they stole them.
